The LMS Extravaganza
The Life Models' Society (LMS) puts on special events each year called Extravaganzas. Originally an annual event, the formula for these has proved so successful that we will now run them in the Autumn as well as in the spring.
At the extravaganzas, we present an opportunity for Artists to draw many LMS members in evolving poses. This proves popular with artists who rarely get to draw more than one or two models at a time.
The afternoon also features live classical music accompaniment, often provided by the models themselves.
Refreshments are also provided free of charge, and are often a highlight. The whole afternoon has been said to take on a sublime atmosphere, and is certainly a unique event in the Melbourne art world.
